Quickstart

Invite Ventura with its invite link. It asks for Administrator - loading and repairing need it. The slash commands are available right away. When the bot joins, it sends the server owner a DM with the first steps and links to this guide (or posts them in the system channel if the owner doesn't accept DMs):

1. Give the bot's role Administrator and drag it above all other roles (Server Settings → Roles). Roles above the bot's role can't be deleted, recreated or assigned by it.
2. Nothing to do for backups: automatic backups are on - the first one within a few minutes of adding the bot, then one every day. /backup auto shows when; /backup create backs the server up right now, e.g. before a big change.
3. Run /backup check - it shows whether anything is still missing, e.g. permissions or automatic backups.
